MILITARY OPERATION TERMINAL BAYONNE

The project engages landscape and infrastructure in the Boston Washington corridor to demonstrate how architectural strategies could be deployed concurrently for temporal occupation and remediation of industrial wasteland. A number of process based strategies were formulated that could transform these sites at a variety of scales and conditions within an overall strategy that projected the future of the rail infrastructure as a hybrid transportation bioswale - hence integrating transportation infrastructure with a robust remediatory ecological corridor. The strategies are played out as a sample case on the site of the former Military Operation Terminal in Bayonne, New Jersey.
